My name is Coach Morton. I'm from Stone Mountain, Georgia. I have been teaching at Lakeside for three years. I taught at Henderson Middle School for seven years. I also coach the Lady Vikings girls basketball team.
My favorite sport is women's basketball. However, I love to watch all basketball. I played high school basketball in Dekalb County at Clarkston High School. At Clarkston, I played for the former principal of Henderson Middle, Ms. Allen. I played college basketball at Elon University in the beautiful Elon, NC. (Check them out at the link below) My other favorite women's college basketball program (right now) is the University of South Carolina, Lady Gamecocks.
When it comes to professional sports, I'm a hometown person. I love all of my Atlanta teams...yes, even if they are having a horrible year. There's just something about the "A". However, my favorite NBA player is the GREAT LeBron James (I don't care what you tell me..that WILL NOT change! : ) Below I have listed my favorite teams. (I just gave a pretty good hint about them)
When I'm not at Lakeside, basketball practice or games, I enjoy spending time with my family. I love the beach, HGTV, all things Disney, attending live WWE events and frequenting Toy Stores with my kids. I can do without my cell phone, bad attitudes and snakes (sorry, science teachers and Mrs. McMillan...they are not beautiful to me!)
